We love seeing cassowaries, in the wild and at our sister parks, so it seems only right that we help celebrate World Cassowary Day!
The day helps to recognise the significance of cassowaries to our rainforests, and promote conservation and appreciation of these beautiful animals.
This year’s World Cassowary Day will be held at the Daintree Rainforest Observatory (DRO) on Saturday September 24th, 2016.
The community event will run from 10am-2pm and include talks by cassowary experts, conservation and market stalls, live music, food, kids activities (face painting, story time, scavenger hunt etc), a film screening and much more!
It will be a great day of learning and celebrating all things cassowary!
