The CaPTA Group is pleased to announce Dr Tours as the winner of the Local Agent Incentive for August, with their prize including a $200 cash donation to the charity of their choice. Dr Tours owner Mark Van Den Hooven selected COUCH (a local charity in Cairns) as their charity of choice for the cash donation, as it was a cause close to their hearts. “We’re really happy that we could do something for a good charity like COUCH,” he said. “Cancer affects a lot of people in a lot of ways, so we hope that this is one small step to finding a cure.”

COUCH aims to improve the cancer treatment technology available in the Far North Queensland region and assist with the medical research into causes, prevention and treatment of the disease of cancer.

CaPTA Group Local Sales Manager Becky Ojala said the Local Agent Incentive was an excellent way to give back to the local community. “CaPTA is very committed to and passionate about supporting local charities and we wanted to share that with other local businesses,” she said. “We are looking forward to the next Local Agent Incentive and giving another charity in Cairns the opportunity to receive much-needed funds.”

The August Local Agent Incentive recognised the tour desk who sold the highest number of Tropic Wings and Jungle Tours trips, as well as the individual who sold the highest number of Tropic Wings and Jungle Tours trips.

The individual prize, won by Wing Hin Kong of Dr Tours, was a Local’s Annual 4 Park Pass and two tickets to the 2015 Cairns Amateurs Lawn Party. The CaPTA Group is locally owned and operated by the Woodward family of Cairns, consisting of Rainforestation Nature Park, Tropic Wings Coach Tours, Jungle Tours & Trekking, The Wildlife Habitat, Cairns ZOOM and Wildlife Dome, Australian Butterfly Sanctuary, ABC Sales & Maintenance and Careers Training Centre.
